Job description

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to help develop, deploy and operate cybersecurity solutions in Wavre, Belgium. 

In this key role you will provide cybersecurity-related technical development, integration, testing, implementation, operation, maintenance and monitoring for cybersecurity solutions. 

Tasks and Activities 

The scope of work will include:

• Deliver cybersecurity solutions.

• Planning and implementing security related projects such as Two Factor Authentication for various systems, Device management solutions (Intune), Endpoint Protection, Conditional access policies, Firewall policy, Network design to isolate various network segments based on their function. 

• Vulnerability management; Scanning, documenting, reporting and remediation.

• Monitoring and updating security infrastructure.

• Testing and implementing security patches and releases for servers, workstations and network infrastructure. 

• Routinely testing security and ISO27001 controls. Records generation of tests.

• Auditing User accounts and privileged access to resources on the system. 

• Audit and report on Firewall change management, documentation and risk analysis. 

• IT Asset management and regular audits of IT equipment. 

• Network monitoring and reporting.

• Incident management (coordination with SOC). 

• Policy development and updating of existing policies within the ISMS. 

• Log collection and review. 

• Assisting with regular audits for ISO 9001, 27001 and other certifications. 

• Develop, implement, maintain, upgrade and test cybersecurity products.

• Provide cybersecurity-related support to users. 

• Integrate cybersecurity solutions and ensure their sound operation. 

• Maintain, upgrade and securely configure the security of systems, services and products.

• Implement cybersecurity procedures and controls.

• Monitor and assure the performance of the implemented cybersecurity controls. 

• Document and report on the security of systems, services and products. 

• Work close with the IT/OT personnel on cybersecurity-related actions.

• Implement, apply and manage patches to products to address technical vulnerabilities.

Skills and Experience 

The following skills and experience are mandatory:

• College degree/diploma in a computer science, engineering or other related discipline or programme. 

• A national of an EU or NATO member state (and therefore can submit an application to the National Security Authority for a security clearance with scope of application EU and/or NATO). 

• Knowledge of the following: 

▪ Operating systems security. 

▪ Computer networks security. 

▪ Cybersecurity controls and solutions. ▪ Cybersecurity recommendations and best practices. 

▪ Cybersecurity-related technologies. 

• Experience with communicating, presenting and reporting to relevant stakeholders.

• Ability to integrate cybersecurity solutions into the organization’s infrastructure. 

• Ability to configure solutions according to the organization’s security policy. 

• Able to assess the security and performance of solutions. 

• Able to identify and solve cybersecurity-related issues. 

• Comfortable collaborating with other team members and colleagues. 

• Fluent in English and French. The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:
