Job description

The Project Officer will support the Principal Investigator(s) in the implementation of a project funded by Google, supporting the promotion of training activities in the Cybersecurity domain involving Master students, academic and other national stakeholders in relation with the Master in Cybersecurity and Cyber Defence.

The Project Officer will ensure efficient project administration and management, in compliance with the requirements of the University of Luxembourg and funder(s).

Main responsibilities:
  • Support the Principal Investigator(s) in the implementation and day to day management of the project activities
  • Organization of training activities such as lecture series, seminars, summer school
  • Ensure promotional and networking activities; e.g. visit the other universities in the Google “seminar” network
  • Enable efficient organization and proper communication before, during and after project execution with relevant
  • internal and external stakeholders
  • Organize and set-up meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Enable administrative management and financial assistance for the ongoing projects and its specific activities
  • Collect inputs and consolidate project technical and periodic reports, including financial reporting
  • Document relevant project information (contracts, project repositories, reports, deliverables, artifacts
  • Ensure quality assurance and compliance of projects and grants with requirements from internal and/or external stakeholders
Your profile
  • Master degree or equivalent experience in an area relevant to grant and project management
  • Proven experience in the design and implementation of training and promotional activities in the educational sphere
  • Experience in research and prior knowledge of cybersecurity is considered an advantage.
  • Good communication skills with different communities of stakeholders
  • Project management skills and knowledge of project management principles and best practices
  • Real team player able to follow internal and external workflows with precise deadlines, used to evolve in a high-level expectations environment
  • Service oriented and problem solving attitude
  • High level of discretion to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Fluent in English (oral and written). Knowledge of French, German and/or Luxembourgish would be appreciated
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills suitable for a multicultural environment
