On behalf of a renowned space organization, Leonardo Belgium (LBe) is looking for a Solutions Engineer that will have the unique and exciting opportunity to join a challenging and major European security project and contribute to the development of the Cyber & Security Division in the Space & International Agencies markets, fostering organization's cyber resilience.
We are looking for a professional willing to commute or relocate to the working location, which is the Brussels, Belgium. The position foresees a flexible hybrid-working arrangement, between our newest establishment in Brussels, close to the main European Institutions, and customer’s locations in Belgium and occasionally missions abroad, within a standard daytime Monday to Friday schedule.

Job description
The Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer will be responsible for the design and implementation of solutions for Space & EU Agencies customers in IT and Cybersecurity contexts and will collaborate with other technical teams to ensure effective technical leadership on projects, and the protection of data and assets.His main responsibilities include :
Be the Technical Authority towards the Customers and internal teams
Technically Lead and contribute to the execution throughout the projects lifecycle (design, development, integration, validation, qualification and acceptance) by managing diverse and distributed technical teams
The Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer will support the current team, lead from Italy, into the following tasks:
Develop and implement security solutions to protect infrastructure, applications, and corporate data, ensuring that the adopted solutions comply with security standards and industry best practices
Implement solutions for access control and identity management, ensuring that only authorized users can access corporate resources
Implement advanced monitoring systems to detect and respond promptly to security incidents, ensuring operational continuity
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into the overall architecture and design of systems
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities across endpoints, networks, and applications, and recommend appropriate remediation actions
Qualifications:
Preferably a degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalents are a plus
Required Level of Experience:
At least 5 years of relevant experience in similar roles (Solutions Engineer, Network Security, Virtualization/Cloud, IAM/PAM Engineer, IVVQ Engineer) and willing to broaden his/her reach
[nice to have] Experience in Cybersecurity projects for Space Domain constitutes a strong preference
Technical / IT Skills: Knowledge of one or more of the following solutions/products:
Identity Access Management (IAM) – [RedHat, Oracle]
Privileged Access Management (PAM) [CyberArk, Thycotic]
VMWare Vsphere Virtualization platform [VMWare, Vsphere]
Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) [Citrix based, Horizon]
Network Security (Firewall, API Gateway) [Fortigate, Stormshield]
Familiarity in working with Windows and Linux OS
[nice to have] Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
[nice to have] Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR)
[nice to have] knowledge of scripting language (python, shell, etc…)
[nice to have] knowledge of ECSS standards constitutes a strong preference
[nice to have] experience in dealing with Classified information (es. SECOPS, COMSEC, INFOSEC, previous experience in Classified projects)
Soft Skills:
Ability to understand requirements and define solutions to maximize compliance while minimizing costs
Ability to estimate costs, efforts (i.e. function points, manhour) and duration of activities
Experience in coordinating technical teams in complex projects
Demonstrated ability to produce and review technical documentation (i.e. Design documents, Requirements specifications, Test plans, procedures and reports, manuals, SECOPS, …)
Language Skills:
Professional fluency in English, being the main working language
[nice to have] Proficiency in another European Language (French or German)
Other:
Availability to travel, long or short term, up-to 35% of time
Permanent employment contract
Be a national of a Member State of the European Union
Hold or be eligible for security clearance up to ESA/NATO/EU SECRET
