Do you have experience working on Linux system administration and want to operate our SIEM based on Elastic Cloud Enterprise and Elasticsearch? Infineon’s Cyber team is hiring, and we want you to be a part of it. Infineon’s Cyber team spans across several countries around the world and covers Cyber Governance & Risk, Consulting, Security Monitoring, Incident Response & Digital Forensics and OT Security functions globally. Join our Cyber team as a Linux Systems Administrator for ElasticSearch and make your impact in the world of cybersecurity.

As a Linux Systems Administrator for ElasticSearch, you will operate and maintain the Elastic Cloud Enterprise (ECE) cluster within our internal infrastructure. You will oversee deployment, monitoring, and administration of the ECE cluster. Furthermore, you will ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.

In your new role you will:

  • Monitor and optimize SIEM infrastructure, analyzing system performance and implementing necessary adjustments. Maintain and monitor system logs and alerts
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to the ECE stack and the ELK deployments
  • Administer Logstash instances, configuring and managing Logstash for data ingestion
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, working closely with the Defense Center team, the IT datacenter and networking teams to ensure seamless integration and operation
  • Provide technical guidance and support as needed
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, IT Security or any equivalent course
  • At least 3 years of experience in System Administration
  • Strong proficiency in Linux system administration (Ubuntu)
  • Knowledge in networking technologies
  • Experience with Container platform technologies, such as Docker (ideally Elastic Cloud Enterprise)
  • Experience in administrating a SIEM solution (experience with Elastic Cloud Enterprise, Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana is a plus)
  • Familiarity with scripting languages and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for effectively identifying and resolving complex issues
  • Solid understanding of system monitoring, logging, and alerting practices
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within an international team and across departments
  • Fluent English language skills in speaking and writing
