1. Develop skills to understand and apply advanced cybersecurity principles to network operations.
2. Explain the application of cyber-security techniques to securely operate, implement, administer, and maintain computer networks and systems.
3. Master skills and tools, including emerging technologies, for securely administering, implementing, maintaining, and operating computer networks and systems.
4. Identify and respond to emerging cybersecurity threats and select appropriate strategies to solve identified risks.
5. Gain knowledge to understand the broader social, political, and business contexts.

Training information
Entry will be considered to any learner wishing to reskill in the area of cybersecurity and that already hold a Level 8 honours degree in any discipline. Applicants who do not meet the above criteria and wish to reskill in cybersecurity will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Entry will also be considered recognising the prior learning of applicants using MTU Recognition of Prior Learning policy.
