About the training
The aim of the programme is to teach students the latest tools and techniques in identifying vulnerabilities (web and network), performing penetration testing and advanced pentesting techniques, including bypassing security mechanisms and evading defences.

1. Understand advanced concepts and develop skills pertaining to the activities of a penetration tester and the trade-craft necessary to perform penetration testing.
2. Develop knowledge and skills in evaluating computer systems' security and cyber resilience.
3. Master skills and tools for conducting penetration testing and vulnerability analysis and select appropriate strategies to solve related problems.
4. Explain a high-value penetration test step by step and end to end and diagnose and solve related issues independently or as part of a team.
5. Understand the emerging cybersecurity threats and countermeasures and develop the ability to assess the associated risk as part of a computer system penetration test and during vulnerability analysis.

This course is ideal for ICT professionals or graduates with an honours degree in computing or in a cognate area (STEM) who wish to develop a career as a cybersecurity professional in a technical role. This is a highly technical course requiring basic networking knowledge to ensure success. Candidates who do not hold a computing degree and are currently working in the IT sector may be considered based on relevant academic qualifications or extensive work experience.
